Guidelines for Parents & Players

Guidelines for Parents

We strongly encourage parents to support our League goals in the following ways:

  • Be positive toward your daughter with respect to her performance, her teammates, and players on other teams! Positive cheering only.

  • Let your daughter’s coach do the coaching. Be a parent and a fan.

  • Do not question the umpire about his/her decisions directly or indirectly. If you must, quietly discuss your thoughts with your daughter's coach after the game.

Our website also provides your parents with detailed information on Milton Girls Softball. Go to www.miltonsoftball.com for more information

Guidelines for Players

  • Develop your softball skills. Listen to your coaches. Focus and pay attention during practices and games. Work hard to become a better player. Help your coach turn the team into better softball players. Improve your Softball IQ.

  • Have fun! Remember that you are playing softball to have fun. If you are not having fun, then someone involved with your team is doing something wrong. Talk to your coach or your parents and they will get it fixed.

  • Receive only positive comments from your coach, your teammates, and opposing teams' players and coaches.

  • Attend practices regularly. Arrive at practices and games on time, or inform your coach in advance if you have a schedule conflict.

  • Cheer on your team. Say only positive things about your opponents and the umpire.

  • Do your best. Strive to perform at your highest level at all times.
